October is almost done!!

Can you believe we are almost at the end of October already?? It will be Christmas before we know it!!

Here is some information around upcoming CLES events:

1. No School for Students: Monday October 28th all staff will be involved in IGNITE. This is a division wide professional development day happening this year in Lac La Biche!
2. Halloween Celebrations: Thursday October 31st is a day that students can choose to come in costume to school. 
   1. Nothing to scary please. We have 4 year olds in the building so please keep that in mind.
   2. No weapons or items that can be used as weapons
   3. Masks: Won't be allowed to be worn on playground and only when teachers allow them. 
   4. Be sure you child can get in and out of their costume when needing to use the washroom
   5. Please drop off any treats in the office with your child's name and homeroom on it. We will get them to their proper classroom
   6. If you are volunteering, please be sure to sign in at the office.
3. PJ Day! Friday November 1st will be a well deserved PJ Day for all students and staff
4. PowerSchool Parent Portal will be closed starting on November 4th so that teachers can begin working on report cards. It will reopen on report card day later in November
5. Picture Retakes: Wednesday Nov. 6 is picture retakes. Only students who have let their teachers know that they need retakes will be done. Please be sure to communicate with your homeroom teacher.
6. Remembrance Day Service: Friday November 8th from 10:30 to 11:15
   1. We have limited seating for guests
   2. We would like to invite parents in uniform and parents of our wreath layers to attend. Please let your homeroom teacher know if you're planning on attending
   3. Please arrive for 10:15 so we can begin at 10:30 sharp
   4. No School for students and staff on Monday November 11th
7. School Clothing: Our school clothing store is up and running at K3! Please share this information to anyone who might be interested! All items are for students, staff, parents and families.
