We are so excited to welcome you and your child to CLES this coming fall! Here is some information that you will need to know:
We want to get to know your child!!! Please fill out this survey prior to your child’s first day of kindergarten!
If your child’s last name is A-L, your child’s first day of school will be Tuesday, Sept. 3. If your child’s last name is M-Z, your child’s first day of school will be Wednesday, Sept. 4. **They will only come on one of these days!!!! All Kinders come to school Sept 5 & 6!
Please do not use the bus loop for parking. Dropoff is between 8:15 - 8:30 and the end of day is at 3:15.
During these staggered entry days Sept 3 & Sept 4, please be here 8:15-8:30, all Kinder students will enter through the front door and go to the gym to find their group colour charts. Please check-in your child and write how they are getting home.
You may stay with your child until it is time to wave goodbye and teachers bring the students to the kinder classrooms.
All students will come to school Sept 5 & 6. Parents will drop their child off outside the front door on these days and they, along with bus kids, will be guided inside. (Please do not use the bus loop for parking)
During the first week of school, all Kinder teachers will get to know the students. The following week, you will get an email indicating who your child’s permanent Kinder teacher will be, and the entrance door your child will be using for the rest of the year.
School Supplies have been purchased for your child and there is a social fund - please pay for these items on SchoolCash in August ($80 total).
Please send your child with the following items, please LABEL everything with your child’s first name and last initial
Lunch kit with a full lunch and healthy snacks. Please send snacks and containers that they can open independently!!
Ziploc bag with a weather-appropriate change of clothes
Non-marking shoes with VELCRO (shoes they can put on independently)
Water bottle, we have a bottle filling station!!!!
We are excited to meet you all - take a look at our 2024-25 Staff!! If you have any questions before the first day feel free to call the school at 780-639-3107 - the office will be closed all summer, and re-opens August 20th.
