On Friday January 31, MLA Genia Leskiw visited CLES to announce that the Government of Alberta has approved funding to build a new elementary school to replace the current aging structure with a projected opening date of September 2016. We at CLES would like to give MLA Leskiw and her colleagues a HUGE thank you along with everyone else who had a role to play in making this dream a reality!!!!!
Kindergarten registrations are now being accepted. Please come into the office to pick up a registration form or you may go online at www.nlsd.ab.ca to register your child for 2014-2015. Your child must turn 5 years old on or before March 1, 2015.
Alberta Infrastructure visited CLES last week. They were checking our site out. The new school will be built in the SW corner of our playground. Construction is scheduled to begin during the Fall of 2014!!!
August 9 and 10, Mr. Thiel, a Grade 2 teacher at CLES, will be riding his bicycle over 200 km in the 2014 Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer in honour of Baby Claire Wilkinson and a close family friend. If you would like to donate you can click on the link below. Thank you for your support!

Welcome to Cold Lake Elementary School 2013-2014!
Our school is a friendly place to visit in Cold Lake and is home to approximately 312 Kindergarten to Grade 3 students as well as 75 Pre-School students. Our staff is made up of 17 professional and 11 support staff as well as 2 pre-school instructors and 2 pre-school assistants. Our team whole-heartedly welcomes each child into the arms of our school family, and we all strive to promote the well-being and success of each student in Pre-School to Grade Three. Our doors are always open to accept and celebrate the learning differences of all children. Our students are successful due to our close-knit community of parents, staff, and students of Cold Lake.
