Student Advocacy Counselor

The Student Advocacy Counselor in each school site promotes student success, provides preventive services and responds to identified student needs by providing individual and group counseling to students, linking students and families with appropriate community agencies and by referring “at risk” students and families to appropriate community agencies.  The Student Advocacy Counselor coordinates, researches and/or develops preventative and intervention programs to enhance and support the school and district’s needs.  The SAC works in partnership with community agencies, school staff, students, and families.
